Journaling, prayer and watercolor sketching are all part of my creative process of developing ideas for my fiber art. I dye most of the linen and silk I use in my tapestries using botanical dyes and inks so that’s also a key part of my process.

Nature, light, color and imagination are all elements in my work. The quick spontaneous process of watercolor painting in my sketchbook is the way I play with the ideas and inspiration for my work , the meditative process of weaving the tapestries is where many of those quick watercolor sketches come to life in fiber.
